After earning a UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series over the summer, Ode Osbourne is ready to make his long awaited Octagon debut next month in Las Vegas.

“The Jamaican Sensation” will take on Brian Kelleher at UFC 246, in a fight first reported by The Scrap. The event takes place Jan. 18 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and will be headlined by a welterweight bout between former two-division champion Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone.

Osbourne checked in with The Scrap to discuss why the timing of the fight was perfect, what he’s been up to since earning a contract on the Contender Series, why he hasn’t been picking teammate Montel Jackson’s brain — who defeated Kelleher at UFC 232 — very much heading into the fight, hoping to face the best Brian Kelleher on Jan. 18, his plans to “terrorize” his opponent, life balance, his excitement competing in a loaded bantamweight division, and more.
