A hot start earns Keith Lee Pro Wrestler of the Month

Every month I will pick one wrestler, underneath the WWE banner, that I think had the best run. This month, the only option for Wrestler of the Month is none other than Keith Lee.

Keith Lee has been on NXT for almost a year, but for most of that time, he was not frequently featured. Lee’s WWE career really got going during Survivor Series weekend. He was on Team Ciampa at War Games, then had a fantastic showing in the Survivor Series match. This propelled Lee into the spotlight as a main eventer and NXT really capitalized on Lee’s popularity in January.

He was consistently in a main event spot week after week. Lee was fighting the evil Undisputed Era in their continuing rivalry. He won a triple threat match at the beginning of the month to become the #1 contender for the North American Championship. Then on the January 22nd edition of NXT, he won that very title.

After claiming his first WWE gold, he entered the Royal Rumble on January 26th to a roaring crowd. He had a prominent roll in the match, and got a lot of spots in on Brock Lesnar. Brock sold for Lee during the match, and made him look like an even bigger star.

Keith Lee has been consistently delivering all month, and finally won his first Championship. He is the Wrestler of the Month for January 2020!
