TJ Brown will feel bad if he knocks Jordan Griffin out of the UFC, but ‘it’s him or me’
TJ Brown will make his Octagon debut a little over six months after earning a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series.
With that, he may have the unfortunate task of handing Jordan Griffin his third consecutive UFC loss and, with that, potentially a pink slip.
Brown and Griffin will square off in a featherweight bout at UFC on ESPN+ 27. The event takes place Feb. 29 at Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Va. and will be headlined by Joseph Benavidez and Deiveson Figueiredo battling it out for the vacant UFC flyweight title.
“Downtown” recently joined The Scrap to discuss the timing of his debut, what he has improved on the most since earning his UFC contract on the Contender Series, teammate Bryce Mitchell’s surge as of late, thoughts on Griffin as an opponent, how he sees the fight playing out, his options for his walkout song, hoping for a UFC event in Arkansas sooner rather than later, and more.
