VIDEO: Toby Misech recaps upset KO win, hopes for bantamweight Grand Prix in 2020

Read Time:1 Minute, 24 Second

Toby Misech has been relishing the underdog role his entire career and entered the cage on Friday night with little pressure on him. He was expected to lose. Misech, however, had other plans for those who bet against him.

“2 Quick” lived up to his moniker by knocking out the heavily favored Erik Perez in, what became, the main event of Bellator 235 in his home state of Hawaii. The fight ended in less than a minute sending the Honolulu crowd home in a frenzy.

Following the win, Misech spoke to The Scrap in his first interview after the big win to discuss how it all feels three days later, getting right back to work at his full time job, missing weight for the fight and why he believes it happened, having no plans to move to 145 permanently, when he found out his fight would be the main event after Josh Barnett was not cleared, landing the money punch that lead to the finish, hoping for a bantamweight grand prix in 2020, and more.

Check out the full interview with Toby Misech, one of the big winners over the weekend in MMA, in the video below.
