Read Time:59 Second

UFC lightweight Brok “Chata Tuska” Weaver and Canadian prospect, Anthony “The Genius” Romero went back and forth on Twitter this week.

Romero (7-0-0) openly challenged Weaver who tweeted about his interest in the upcoming UFC Saskatoon card on June 20.

Weaver (15-4-0) competed on the 2019 Contender Series winning by unanimous decision over Devin Smyth. In his UFC debut at UFC on ESPN+ 25, the 28-year-old took the win. His opponent Rodrigo Vargas delivered an illegal knee in the first round resulting in his disqualification.

“The Genius” has been a true force to be reckoned with in the regional lightweight division. The 23-year-old is on a 15-fight win streak, including his amateur career. Romero has fought game opponents as a pro and remains undefeated. At OCL 7, he knocked out Jake Miller at 58 seconds of the first round to take home the Ohio Combat League lightweight title.
