Youssef Zalal will fight anyone but ‘down for’ matchup with Andre Ewell (VIDEO)

Youssef Zalal didn’t have to deal with any controversy surrounding the judges on Saturday night at UFC 247 as he picked up his first Octagon win.

Zalal defeated fellow LFA alum and promotional debutant Austin Lingo via unanimous decision to kick off the event in Houston, Texas. All three judges scored the bout 30-27 in favor of Zalal.

Following the win, Zalal joined The Scrap to recap his successful UFC debut and how he graded his performance overall, finding out the news that James Krause would be competing at on a day’s notice at UFC 247 instead of cornering him, being happy he opened up the card with all of the controversy that happened throughout the night, teammate Jonathan Martinez’s split decision loss to Andre Ewell, his plans to drop to 135 and being down to fight Ewell, shouting out teammate Brandon Royval on the broadcast after the win, how he scored the main event, wanting to return before Ramadan, and more.
