The Scrap’s 2019 TUW Matchup of the Year: Caroline Romero vs. UFC Super Fan

Read Time:1 Minute, 31 Second

The Ultimate Writer is a competition created by The Scrap where MMA & Pro Wrestling go head to head in a competition of articles views.

Monthly winners move on and get closer to being awarded The Ultimate Writer Championship belt. In Season 1, we saw #1 seed Joel Torres take home the title after a dominant season. For the Season 2 finale, we have Puerto Rico’s Katie Vega taking on USA’s Connor Rogowsky for the championship.

We expanded to writers from all over the world who didn’t work for The Scrap in Season 2. And let’s just say we were in for a treat on the variety we received. We had writers from other sites, first time writers, two women in the tournament for the first time, new counties we found writers in, and MMA trolls on social media.

That’s when we discovered one of the best competitors we’ve had in The Ultimate Writer, UFC Super Fan. He dominated his opponents in matchups with his loyal following on social media. He wrote articles that pushed the barrier and entered the comedic side of MMA. Super Fan was on track to win it all with the #4 ranking, until he met Caroline Romero.

Romero was being billed as The Dark Horse of Season 2. She truly came out of no where, coming into the competition with the least amount of followers. Not only did she kick ass, she took out top competition single handedly self promoting her work tirelessly.

Coming into this matchup, she was the underdog and ended up dominating the views. Needless to say, she delivered in her first Main Event matchup, and kept her undefeated record alive.

UFC Super Fan vs. Caroline Romero is 100% the The Ultimate Writer Matchup of the Year. Congratulations to both competitors!
