The Scrap’s 2021 MMA Writer of the Year: Connor Rogowsky

Read Time:1 Minute, 6 Second

The Scrap’s MMA is such an important award for the site. With MMA being one of the core sports we began to cover, it’s been around since the site’s inception and has consistently remained the largest archive of content The Scrap owns. It’s also the hardest one to stand out in, with the site having many MMA writers on staff, and a ton of competition in the media space.

After Co-Founder Joey Torres left The Scrap to purse MMA management, the site needed someone to step up to the plate. No one stood out more, and was more clutch than our MMA Writer of the Year, Connor Rogowsky.

Honorable Mentions: Katie Vega, Steven Rae & Lee Brown

Connor a.k.a. Rags is one of the Co-Founders of The Scrap. Since taking over the site’s day-to-day activities, the site was able to obliterate the yearly total views and double in content produced year-over-year.

From detailed Contender Series guides, to highlighting the regional scene in various columns, Rags has dedicated himself fully to MMA and giving Scrap readers something new, needed, and creative.

There is no doubt that no one was more deserving of this award than our man, Connor Rogowsky!

We’re excited to see what 2022 brings…
