Aaron Jeffery looks to get ‘bad taste’ from loss out of mouth at Combat Zone 71
Canadian middleweight prospect, Aaron Jeffery, makes his return 40 days after fighting on Dana White’s Contender Series.
Aaron is currently living with his coach, fully immersed and focused on his MMA career. His dedication to the sport allowed the quick turnaround fight to happen, a turnaround that is quick for most fighters.
“I’m pretty bummed about how the fight went,” said Jeffery. “I can’t dwell on it, I have to take it as a learning experience and take the positives out of it.”
Jeffery will fight Dennis Olson on Friday, August 23, in Manchester, New Hampshire. After his first-round submission loss to Brendan Allen, Jeffery looks to get the, “bad taste” out of his mouth and get back in the win column.
When asked about Olson, Jeffery shared that he and his team, “liked the matchup,” so they took the fight regardless of the 7 hour drive to Manchester. “He’s a solid grappler, looking to shoot for a lot for takes,” said Jeffery. Knowing this, the DWCS alum plans to stop Olson’s takedowns and put work on him come fight night.
Training with former UFC middleweight Elias Theodorou once again for this fight, the Canadian stud hopes to get his hand raised in New Hampshire and potentially book one more fight before the year is over.
