Anthony “The Genius” Romero is ready to take on Zach “The Juice” Juusola at LFA 96 on December 4.

After his initial opponent, Alex Trinidad (5-2) backed out due to an undisclosed injury, Juusola agreed to fight “The Genius” on short notice.

Romero (8-0) last fought on Week 4 of Dana White’s Contender Series Season 4. The Niagara Top Team/Para Bellum MMA fighter won the match against Mike Breeden (8-3) by unanimous decision in a dominant fashion. Romero however, did not receive a contract that night. Prior to that, the 23-year-old won the Ohio Combat League lightweight title in March beating Jake Miller in a quick first-round knockout.

The 33-year-old Jusssola (11-6) won his last fight, a bare knuckle match, at BKFC 8 in October. He beat Fred Pierce (1-6) by TKO in the second round at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Previous to that, he has three MMA losses to UFC fighter Tristan Connelly, Darren Smith Jr., and Ryan Fillingame.

The fight is scheduled to be the co-main event at the Hartman Arena in Park City, Kansas. LFA 96 will be live on UFC Fight Pass.
