Two fighters named on The Scrap’s Regional Prospects to Watch in 2020 have officially booked their first fights of the new year.

Kenny Cross (9-3) will headline Lights Out 7 in a lightweight title bout against Robert Hale (8-4). Both men are top lightweight prospects and exciting finishers currently on win streaks.

Cross is coming off a the biggest KO of his career when he finished Jonas Flok at Lights Out 6. Currently on a 3-fight win streak, “The Boss” looks to capture his first professional title to kick off the new year.

Bantamweight standout, Mando Gutierrez, has also been making a name for himself in the Midwest, terrorizing 145ers since transitioning to MMA in 2018. “El Toro” looks to make it 10-straight wins when he faces the debuting, Adam Kehr.

Kehr had an impressive 6-1 amateur career before deciding to turn pro. He’s coming off a third-round submission win at Lights Out 5 against a tough Abasi Perry. A win over Mando next month would put Kehr back on a win streak.

Lights Out 7 is already shaping up to be a contender for Regional Fight Card of the Year with the addition of Cross and Gutierrez. The event will take place on February 8 inside the DeltaPlex Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Confirmed bouts for Lights Out 7:

  • Kenny Cross vs. Robert Hale – Lightweight Championship
  • Erick Lozano vs. Melvin Guillard
  • Mando Gutierrez vs. Adam Kehr
