Three current AEW storylines that could have been better

Read Time:2 Minute, 22 Second

As a fan of wrestling, there will always be storylines that we love, and those we absolutely hate. Great storylines keep you going from week-to-week and have you hooked until the match happens. Others make no sense and sometimes come randomly, or simply have bad timing.

There have been plenty of bad stories in pro wrestling over the years that have left wrestling fans scratching their heads. A great wrestling match with no story behind it will enthuse only a small portion of wrestling fans. But when done right, it can truly be memorable, while adding quality to the pro wrestling spectacle itself.

Read about the three storylines in AEW that honestly, could have been better…

Swerve in our Glory Potentially Breaking Up

In every match as of late, it seems Swerve and Keith Lee are having some sort of miscommunication in the ring. It’s either that, or they are one-upping each other in a backstage segment. This gives us a hint that they are going to eventually break up, and possibly compete against each other.

It’s your typical tag team break up… Why not have Swerve and Keith Lee in a successful, long title reign? They could easily drop the titles later, dap it up, and go their separate ways. They should leave on good terms then ultimately agree to be there if the other ever needs them in the future.

Jade Cargill’s Undefeated Streak

My disdain has nothing to do with the streak, my concern is what AEW will do with Jade Cargill when she loses. Do they push her towards the AEW Women’s Championship? Or does she become another lady on the roster? AEW must be careful with this streak as fans will start to get bored with it. Let’s not forget Goldberg’s run in WCW…

Cargill is still a little green in the ring, however; the talent, beauty, strength, and mic skills are evidently there. AEW just needs to have a plan for her once that zero is no more.

The Elite Winning the Inaugural Trios Championships

Although they are no longer champions due to being stripped of the Trios titles during the Dynamite after All Out, this should have played out differently. Fans are well aware of the talent that Kenny Omega and The Bucks bring to the ring… So why not let an up-and-coming trios group go over? Will Ospreay and the Aussie Open should have won these titles.

The AEW Trios Championships would be seen over in New Japan Pro Wrestling, as well as AEW and other local wrestling shows. The Aussie Open are well known in NJPW, and AEW fans would have loved seeing more of Will Ospreay on TV or at PPVs.
