
VIDEO: Chris Gutierrez returns to action at UFC Apex
Chris “El Guapo” Gutierrez (14-3-1) was getting ready to go home and have a big meal after training, when he got a call from the UFC for a short notice fight.
Gutierrez will be fighting Vince Morales (9-4) on May 30 at UFC Apex. The 29-year-old bantamweight has been successful in his last two outings in the UFC. He beat Ryan MacDonald by unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN+ 6 and took the split decision win against Geraldo de Freitas at UFC on ESPN+ 14 last August.
Morales is coming off a unanimous decision loss against Benito “The Golden Boy” Lopez at UFC on ESPN+ 13. In his interview with Behind The Grind, Gutierrez discusses his upcoming fight, his Spanish roots, and training with his friend Brandon “Raw Dawg” Royval
