Read Time:1 Minute, 32 Second

The first round of The Ultimate Writer Season 4 is officially underway. TUW 17 will feature one giant battle for the season’s rankings to kick things off. Though there is no one getting eliminated, the teams will want a higher ranking if possible, knowing there are already twists in the game.

If you don’t already know, The Ultimate Writer is a competition that features 16 of the best combat sports content creators around the world in a competition where article views matter. Winners this season are determined weekly and for this round specifically, the team’s overall article view count will secure them the win.

This first card will help us the determine the team’s rankings, and set the official bracket for the season. So needless to say, the win here will set the tone for the rest of the competition.

It’s every team for themselves…

Two Teams to Watch

Katie Vega & Shawn Bitter are the most intriguing duo to watch, based on the content they currently produce. The two also have a joint column called “Ready 4 The Call” so they’ve been building a viewership together for quite some time now. How they do together this week will be very telling on how they’ll do this season. Can Season 2’s winner get it done with one of the most-read newbies The Scrap has?

Though there are a few teams that people should be paying attention to, no team is more intriguing than Dylan Fritts & Juan Reneo at the moment. Being our only pro wrestling duo, and considering how they did individually last season, together they could be a force to be reckoned with. It’s going to be interesting to see how well they do in this first round and whether they come strong, for start safe. Tune in next week to find out…
