Your guide to TUW 23: Season 5 Kickoff

Read Time:1 Minute, 29 Second

The first round of The Ultimate Writer Season 5 is officially underway! This card will feature a Battle Royale where all the contestants will go head-to-head. TUW 23 will determine the season’s bracket and determine our contestant rankings.

If you don’t already know, The Ultimate Writer is a competition that features 12 of the best combat sports content creators around the world in a competition where article views matter. Winners this season are determined weekly, but for this round specifically, we’ll have a different set of rules. This first round will be two weeks long, and each contestant’s highest viewed article (each week) will be added together for their total score.

The Scrap staff participating in TUW Season 5 will be competing for the grand prize of $150 and their choice of a WWE or UFC NFT (Non-Fungible Token).

Creators to Watch

Though it’s too early to tell who is going to be a front runner in the competition, there are a few names to look out for in this first round. Katie Vega returns after winning last season in our first-ever tag team bracket. Winning the title of TUW for the second time, the storyline to watch for this season is if she can do it again… This time solo.

Shawn Bitter had an awesome rookie season and remains The Scrap’s most read writer so far this year. Only having to rely on himself this season, he could do very well in the competition. Juan Reneo is a veteran who has improved each season, drastically. He could very well win it all as he’s spent much time building his social media following and readership. Lastly, Lewis Simpson also had a great rookie season and will be one to watch this season.
