Card Preview & Predictions for AAA Noche de Los Grandes
AAA Noche de Los Grandes is shaping up to be a must-watch event. Below, we break down each matchup, provide our predictions, and highlight the key storylines ahead of the big night:

Lucha de Apuestas Mask vs. Mask: El Grande Americano vs. The Original El Grande Americano
I can make a case for both men winning. But the reality is El Grande Americano is incredibly over in Mexico. While it’s the opposite in the U.S. with the Original Americano, it’s hard to see WWE taking the mask off the version that has connected so strongly with AAA audiences.
This has become one of AAA’s hottest storylines in a long time, and when you factor in Ludwig Kaiser’s natural fit with the character, his ability to speak Spanish, and the added personal stakes with his real-life partner involved in the angle, it feels like the Original El Grande Americano is the one who will ultimately be unmasked.
Prediction: El Grande Americano

AAA Latin American Title Match: El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. (c) vs. El Hijo del Vikingo
I haven’t followed AAA closely enough to understand every layer of the story heading into this one. But, El Hijo del Vikingo clearly has momentum, especially with the unexpected pairing alongside Omos that AAA has continued to push.
However, the focus here is on El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., who has held the AAA Latin American Championship since August 2025 with six successful defenses. At this point, a loss would feel premature given how strongly he’s been positioned with the fanbase.
Adding another wrinkle, Galeno del Mal returned on the May 2nd episode of AAA to reunite with his brother. That development makes it very likely Galeno will get involved at some point to protect Wagner’s title and potentially influence the outcome of the match.
Prediction: El Hijo del Vikingo

AAA World Tag Team Title Match: Pagano & Psycho Clown (c) vs. The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar)
I really can’t see a tag team that just got squashed by Oba Femi on the main roster walking out with the AAA World Tag Team Championships.
But, The War Raiders have momentum, while the alliance between Pagano and Psycho Clown is completely fractured. Psycho Clown recently accused Pagano of being the mystery attacker targeting the Psycho Circus faction, and although Pagano denies it, the constant finger-pointing has left them totally out of sync.
I’ll keep it short and sweet. I can’t believe it, but the War Raiders are winning.
Prediction: The War Raiders

AAA World Cruiserweight Championship: Laredo Kid (c) vs. Rey Fenix
This one could honestly go either way.
Rey Fenix has all the momentum after pinning Laredo Kid in a non-title match earlier in May, and he came extremely close to winning their championship bout on May 23rd. Also, the new AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio personally ordered this rematch after Laredo Kid used questionable tactics to secure his previous win.
Now, because Fenix isn’t a full-time AAA mainstay, it would be easy to assume he doesn’t win here. But at the same time, he’s not doing much on the main roster right now either, so this feels like a perfect opportunity for him to get revenge and capture his second Cruiserweight title.
Prediction: Rey Fenix
