Top heavyweight prospect Gable Steveson (2-0) is officially booked to face Hugo Lezama (11-3) at Mexico Fight League 3 on February 19th. The bout will take place at the Showcenter Complex in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

Since making his professional debut at the end of 2025, Steveson, an Olympic gold medalist and NCAA champion, has already competed three times, including two MMA bouts and one fight in Dirty Boxing, where he earned a finish.

Training alongside Jon Jones, Steveson has become the biggest free agent in MMA today. No other prospect comes close to matching his wrestling accolades. The undefeated fighter has already held discussions with UFC Matchmaker Mick Maynard and is targeting a UFC run this year. This fight against Lezama is the first step toward that goal and the kickoff to his 2026 campaign.

Lezama, 37, is the most experienced opponent Steveson has faced so far. The current Budo Sento Championship heavyweight titleholder has an 11-3 record, providing a serious challenge for the rising star.

With Steveson’s Olympic-level wrestling and raw power set against Lezama’s experience and championship pedigree, Mexico Fight League 3 promises to deliver an exciting heavyweight showdown. Fans can expect a high-stakes clash that could define the early trajectory of Steveson’s MMA career.
