Card Predictions for Contender Series Week 4:
Adam Darby vs. Patrick Rivera
Darby is 27 and comes from Ireland with an extensive amateur background, giving him plenty of experience despite having less time as a pro.
At 6’3”, he will also have a significant height advantage over Rivera. Darby has finished all but one opponent. While Rivera, 34, brings more professional experience and has finished 10 of his wins. Rivera also enters on a six-fight winning streak, so this should be a solid test for Darby.
Still, Darby is exactly the type of prospect made for this show, and with his size, finishing ability, and upside, it makes sense that he is the favorite.
Prediction: Adam Darby via KO/TKO
Brandon Holmes vs. Modestino Rodrigues
Holmes is 29 and returns to Contender Series after suffering the first loss of his professional career on the last season of Contender Series. He earned another opportunity bouncing back with a first-round finish on the regional scene.
Rodrigues is just 22 and comes from Brazil as a kickboxer with a clear taste for the knockout. Every one of his fights has ended by KO/TKO, making this a matchup between two aggressive finishers.
With both men capable of ending the fight at any moment, this should be an exciting clash, and Holmes looks like a slight favorite in what is otherwise a very even matchup.
Prediction: Modestino Rodrigues via KO/TKO
Liam McCracken vs. Silvestre Sanchez.
McCracken is 25 and comes from England, with every professional win coming by stoppage, most in the first round. His only loss came by decision back in 2023. He enters this fight off a third-round finish to win a regional championship belt which was also his first finish outside of the first round.
Sanchez is 24 and from Mexico, and like McCracken, his only loss also came by decision. He will have the size advantage, having previously fought at welterweight while McCracken has competed at featherweight.
This is a closely matched fight between two prospects with proven finishing ability, but McCracken looks like a slight favorite.
Prediction: Silvestre Sanchez via Decision
Charlie Cleveland vs. Gabriel Lourenço
Cleveland is 28 and enters on a four-fight winning streak. Most of his victories have come by KO/TKO, including finishes by head kick and strikes followed up by ground-and-pound. Like most heavyweights, he has the power to end the fight with one clean shot. He is a smaller heavyweight, with his last weight in around 245 lbs.
Lourenço is 26 and from Brazil. After losing his professional debut, he has won seven straight fights. He is an even smaller heavyweight, weighing in around 230 lbs. It will be interesting to see how he handles the heavyweight size and power at this level, as his long-term future in the UFC would likely be at light heavyweight.
With that in mind, Cleveland enters as a very slight favorite in what should be a competitive matchup.

Adam Livingston vs. Hunter Smith
Livingston is 25 and returns to Contender Series after suffering the first loss of his professional career last season. He earned another opportunity with a spinning-elbow finish on the regional scene and will also have the height advantage at 6’2”.
Smith is 27 and enters off a regional championship victory, with most of his wins coming by KO/TKO. Both fighters have suffered one professional loss, with each coming by submission, so this matchup should favor the striking exchanges.
Livingston enters the fight as a slight favorite.
Prediction: Adam Livingston via Decision
