Season 1, Episode 15: ‘The LFG Playoffs!’

The final episode, The LFG Playoffs!, aired on May 18, 2025 on A&E. Shawn Michaels kicks off the show alongside the Legends and their finalists, getting them ready for their matches in New York City. We then see Ultimate Fighter-style video packages from Tyra Mae Steele, Zena Sterling, Jasper Troy, and Shiloh Hill as they pack up and make phone calls home. Once they arrive in New York, we see them doing interviews and being greeted by family members there to show their support.

As the Future Greats prepare for the big night, Tyra starts to play mind games and get into Zena’s head. While they are practicing, Zena punched Tyra in the face on accident, leading to more animosity between the two. The guys were much more cordial, showing a clear willingness to put each other over and make one another look good. After the matches, the Future Greats spent time with their families before deliberations began with Shawn Michaels and the Legends. With the final decision in his hands, Shawn ultimately chooses the winners. With the most points at the end of the season, The Undertaker was awarded the first-ever WWE LFG Championship, claiming victory among the coaches.

The final point breakdown was as follows:

  • Team Bubba Ray: 5 Points
  • Team Booker: 8 Points
  • Team Mickie: 3 Points
  • Team Undertaker: 10 Points

The Matches on Episode 15

Tyra Mae Steele vs. Zena Sterling

Bubba Ray was in Zena Sterling’s corner, while The Undertaker backed Tyra Mae Steele. Both legends hyped up their finalists before the match began.

Once the bell rang, the action started slow, with Tyra immediately targeting Zena’s injured knee. As the match progressed, Zena fought through the pain, building momentum and rallying the crowd behind her. She began to dominate with several pin attempts, showcasing her creativity and unique moveset.

However, the tide turned when Zena landed awkwardly on her knee, allowing Tyra to regain control. Tyra zeroed in on the injury, relentlessly attacking the knee and making Zena suffer.

Despite the pain, Zena found a window of opportunity—flipping Tyra over with her feet and firing up the crowd. She hit a signature move, but it only earned her a two-count. Tyra responded with an ankle lock, but Zena managed to escape.

Zena began to rally once more, but Tyra shut it down with a brutal clothesline to the knee that sent Zena flipping. In the end, Tyra locked in a grueling submission targeting the injured knee, and Zena was forced to tap.

Shiloh Hill vs. Jasper Troy

The boys lock up, matching each other in strength early on—until Jasper Troy shows there’s a difference, making sure Shiloh Hill feels it. Shiloh gains some ground with a headlock, but Jasper escapes. They run the ropes, and Shiloh lands a big clothesline that sends Jasper out of the ring.

Using the ring post to his advantage, Shiloh throws Jasper back in. But as Shiloh hits the ropes, Jasper cuts him off and begins targeting his back with relentless offense. Mid-match, Jasper starts talking trash while dishing out punishment, controlling the pace.

When Jasper locks in a submission, the crowd tries to rally behind Shiloh—but Jasper shuts that down quickly. Eventually, Shiloh fights back, getting Jasper off his feet and beginning to build momentum. However, he didn’t quite capitalize on getting the crowd behind him the way he could have because they were pretty silent.

That momentum turned costly when Shiloh missed a high-risk move off the top rope after hyping up the crowd. Some of the Future Greats felt the sequence came off a bit rushed. As Shiloh tried to rebound by running the ropes, Jasper caught him mid-stride with his finisher—securing the win.

Winners of WWE LFG Season 1

Shawn Michaels makes the final decision with input from the Legends, all of whom had high praise for the women. Zena was commended for her resilience, working through an injury, while Tyra’s Olympic pedigree was seen as adding instant legitimacy to the NXT women’s division. However, Booker T expressed some hesitation about Tyra’s overall improvement throughout the season.

When it came to the men, the praise was especially strong for Shiloh Hill. The Legends saw a unique mind and creative brilliance in him. But Booker quickly shifted the focus, plugging his Future Great, Jasper Troy, who he believes is ready for the big stage. Bubba Ray called him out for politicking, and The Undertaker agreed. Still, Mickie James admitted Jasper won her over, and Undertaker emphasized his physicality, suggesting he could pose a serious threat to Oba Femi. Bubba, however, felt Jasper still needed to mature.

In the end, the final call came down to Shawn Michaels. And he chose:

  • Team Booker: Jasper Troy
  • Team Undertaker: Tyra Mae Steele
