The Forbidden Door AEW needs to open next
After years of roadblocks like COVID-19 and Harold Meij, AEW and NJPW will finally have the supershow everyone has waited for. AEW has shown interest in working with different promotions, but there’s one promotion they need to open the forbidden door on, and that’s STARDOM.
STARDOM has the best women’s wrestling in the world, and this is not debatable, it’s a fact. If AEW wants to improve their women’s division, working with STARDOM would be the way. AEW’s women’s division is still a work in progress with several things going for it, like the amount of young talent they have.
Allowing these young wrestlers go on tours with STARDOM would help the AEW women’s division tremendously…
What does STARDOM gain from all this?
Simple, more eyes to their product. Wrestlers like Mina Shirakawa, Starlight Kid, Giulia or Utami Hayashishita would get over immediately in AEW. STARDOM would also gain access to wrestlers that used to work for the the promotion like Toni Storm or Jamie Hayter.
Opening this forbidden door is not an easy task for AEW, but the NJPW forbidden door wasn’t too. Rossy, STARDOM’s CEO, is not so keen on working with AEW unfortunately… TJPW having a working relationship with AEW might also be a roadblock.
Both promotions working together would be amazing and would give more eyes to the talented roster STARDOM has. And who knows, one days we could get a supershow between AEW and STARDOM taking place.
What do you think, should AEW & STARDOM work together? Let us know in the comments!
