Jesse Arnett on UAEW 33 mega fight vs. Ali AlQaisi & DDP connection
Jesse Arnett and Ali AlQaisi II takes place at UAE Warriors 33 with the featherweight gold on the line come September 17th.
Arnett appeared on Bowks Talking Bouts and ‘Big Cat’ had a lot to say ahead of this bad blood fueled rematch against the former UFC veteran. Excerpts from our chat are below…
Jesse Arnett
This being called the biggest UAE Warriors fight ever and if this is Arnett’s biggest career fight–
“He’s probably not the toughest guy I’ve fought. Johnny Bedford is probably the toughest guy I’ve fought. Ray Borg is probably the most skilled and the best guy I’ve ever fought. Taking nothing away from Ali AlQaisi, he’s a great fighter actually. He’s durable, he’s hard to finish, he shows up in phenomenal shape, believes in himself. Got fighting spirit, he’s there, and he’s there to fight.”
“He actually inspired and motivated me more than ever. These last fifty days, I really put in some solid work and I really earned this victory again and again. Not to say I don’t work hard, but we did some extra work this time. Saturday night, I’m going to show up prepared to go for twenty five hard minutes if need be.”
Getting some love from Diamond Dallas Page–
“You know what’s funny is him and I communicate a little bit on Instagram. The great thing about DDP, he’s a common man. He’s out there for everybody. He’s like Dusty Rhodes back in the day. I grew up on that shit, man. Dude, I got into amateur wrestling and this shit because of WWE, man. I grew up a Shawn Michaels fan in the Attitude Era, right.”
“Like you guys see me, I come to the ring. I put my hands in the air, I stomp down, I shadow box, I stare the guy down. I love this and that’s awesome, man. Just like DDP, winning a world championship in my late-thirties. That’s awesome.”
