PFL Europe: Looking back at the Inaugural Season
The debut of PFL Europe was a success, despite the U.S. not being able to watch the cards. So here is some insight that American fans might have missed out on. There are plenty of up and coming fighters that are hoping to make a name for themselves on the regional Europe scene.
There were three cards preceeding the final in Dublin, Ireland. Some established names like Simeon Powell, Lewis McGrillen and Dakota Ditcheva drew fans in and offered reason for optimisim before the seires began. Some concern came when there were cheaper ticket sales, but that was due to the lack of some big ticket names. However, big names wouldn’t fit the bill for what this tournament was meant to be. But lower prices allowed for higher fan turnout, which was consistently great and the atmosphere was electric. Credit is due to the PFL for making the adjstment to fill the stands to get eyes on some prospects that gave hope for the future of the PFL.
