Card Preview & Predictions for WWE SNME
Saturday Night’s Main Event XLV is shaping up to be a must-watch event. Below, we break down each matchup, provide our predictions, and highlight the key storylines ahead of the big night:

CM Punk & Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther & Sami Zayn
This match feels unnecessary. But since we’re getting it, it’s hard to see Cody Rhodes and CM Punk losing, even if they aren’t on the same page for parts of the match. After all, they’re set to face each other at SummerSlam.
When making predictions, I usually think about where the story goes next. It feels like WWE is building toward a potential Gunther vs. Nick Aldis match at SummerSlam, so I’m hoping we get some kind of interference to help set that up.
I think, considering they’re main eventing SummerSlam, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk need to stand tall heading into the biggest block party of the summer.
Prediction: Cody Rhodes & CM Punk

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships: Paige & Brie Bella (c) vs. Lainey Reid & Fallon Henley
It’s time to take the titles off Brie Bella & Paige. The nostalgia run has served its purpose, and it’s time for both of them to move back into the singles title picture. With more championships in WWE than ever before, either of them holding a singles title would only elevate the current division.
A win for Fatal Influence would be huge and give the team the statement victory they need after cooling off following all the momentum they built in the lead-up. WWE failed to capitalize on that momentum, so now is the time to get them back on track.
They’re also one of the few legitimate tag teams in the division, making them the right choice to carry the Women’s Tag Team Championships forward.

No Disqualification Match: Danhausen vs. JD McDonagh
We’re at Madison Square Garden, and with Jalen Brunson set to be there, it feels inevitable that we’ll get some kind of interaction with Danhausen after the whole Knickshausen saga.
I just can’t see Danhausen losing in that environment. Plus, JD McDonagh is cursed, so… duh.
Prediction: Danhausen

Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria
Lyra Valkyria’s heel turn came at a very interesting time.
Bayley’s WWE contract is reportedly up in late 2026, and we know Mercedes Moné would love to reunite with her in AEW. It would be another opportunity for Bayley to cement her legacy in women’s wrestling, especially considering the two were WWE’s first Women’s Tag Team Champions and both have Hall of Fame-worthy careers already.
That said, Bayley has been heavily underutilized lately. Something tells me that before she leaves, if she leaves, she’ll help elevate Lyra Valkyria in a major way. This feels like the start of that story, and I expect Lyra to pick up the win here.
Prediction: Lyra Valkyria
