A review of AEW’s second mobile game: Elite GM

Read Time:1 Minute, 10 Second

AEW’s second mobile game was recently released to the public. While we wait for their console game, it’s the perfect time to review Elite GM.

One of the big positives of the game is how easy it is to play. After just playing a few minutes, you’ll understand the mechanics of it. Other positives for the game is the art style used for the AEW roster and the inclusion of gimmicks like forklift or Trent’s mom van.

Being able to book the AEW roster as you please is awesome and the game accomplishes their main goal. Currently, I’m on a run of getting The Butcher to become the next AEW World Champion, and the road to getting there with the game has been enjoyable.

On the negative side of things we have the match types that can be booked. As of this writing, the game doesn’t include match types like Stadium Stampede or Blood & Guts. Hopefully AEW and the developers of the game add those types of matches eventually. The game had a few glitches at launch, but this is not something new with new games first released.

One suggestion I would make for the game would be the ability to create custom wrestlers and expand the roster even more. This is something that will probably be added in a future update.

Grade: 4/5
