Angela Hill isn’t the only costume wearing MMA fighter

It’s not every day you see Angela Hill dressed up in a Street Fighter costume. Especially at a UFC weigh-in.
It seems the mixed martial arts world is slowly embracing the costume culture. At the UFC Houston weigh-ins, Hill squared off against a confused Jessica Andrade, dressed as Sagat from the popular video game. Unlike the UFC, Invicta FC is unrestrained by a clothing deal or wardrobe restrictions. However, it looks like Hill is looking to bring some of the fun over to the UFC.

The best weigh-in & press conference costumes
Aside from post-fight interviews, some fighters like to make their face-offs and press conferences interesting. Angela Hill wasn't the first, nor will she be the last to dress up. From Mortal Kombat to The Hulk, we have gathered a list of the best weigh-in and press conference costumes to ever grace the fight game.

Ion "The Hulk" Cutelaba
At UFC Portland, Cutelaba showed some serious commitment to his alias. This is one of the most epic weigh-in costumes I've witnessed. Cutelaba showed up to the weigh-in as the Incredible Hulk, ripping off his shirt while stepping on the scale, and then getting his hand raised the night after. I don't think anything will beat what this man has brought to the table. I hope we get to see more of the Hulk.

Roxanne Modafferi as Princess Kitana
At Invicta FC 14, we got to witness the MMA/Mortal Kombat clash. Roxanne Modafferi showed up as Princess Katana. Her team even joined the cause (look at Sub-Zero in the photo). Modafferi's camp is so committed and I always loved watching them all dress up for the weigh-ins. I think Roxanne will go down in history as one of the most interesting characters in mixed martial arts history. I don't think we'll see another badass, nerd, costume wearing, fighter like Roxanne.

Rachael Ostovich as Wonder Woman
It was Invicta FC 10, where we first saw Wonder Woman grace the scale at the weigh-ins. Ostovich looked incredible in her costume - when asked about it, Ostovich mentioned that people liked it, she caught the world's attention, and was all over social media. She also loves Wonder Woman, so it was the perfect choice. Ostovich definitely has one of the best costumes under the Invicta banner.

Amanda "The Lioness" Nunes
It was the night before the new year when the lioness showed her true form. Nunes debuted her mask before fighting the biggest star to ever grace the bantamweight division. Nunes later destroyed Rousey in 48 seconds of the very first round. It's obvious that the whole night will go down in history, but I doubt this is the last we see of the mask. I hope this opens the doors for more fighters to wear costumes at future UFC weigh-ins.

Cris Cyborg's war paint
I think I loved Cyborg's war paint because it symbolized another milestone conquered by the Invicta FC featherweight champion: another brutal weight cut in the bags and another win in the UFC. She was ready to make her statement and ready to take on whatever the UFC challenged her with, for the sake of getting a division of her own. With her flag painted on, Cyborg was ready for war at UFC Brasilia.

Conor McGregor as El Chapo
Conor McGregor is my favorite. He showed up dressed as El Chapo to the UFC 197 press conference, trolling Rafael Dos Anjos the entire night. From B.I.G. sweaters to fancy clothes, McGregor will forever go down in history as one of the best to ever do it - both in the fight and fashion game.
