Anthony Pettis FC Vacant Welterweight Championship
Emmanuel Sanchez vs. Zach Zane
The card’s main event is sure to excite fans. The 20-fight Bellator veteran Emmanuel Sanchez (23-11) aims to capture the vacant welterweight strap. The 34-year-old is known for his slick submission skills and well-rounded skillset. Sanchez lays claim to an astounding nine submission victories over his fourteen years as a professional. Sanchez has a recent record of 3-2 in his last five fights. He can remind fight fans of his challenge against the legendary Patricio Pitbull. He faced him for the Bellator featherweight title in April 2021. His professional career dates back to 2011. Now, his time as a pro comes full-circle with a shot at gold.
As for his opponent, Zach Zane (15-15) has taken almost every avenue in the modern-day combat sports scene. The Hawaiian fighter has competed in MMA, bare knuckle fighting, and Power Slap. Zane has fought in many well-known MMA promotions over his eleven year professional career. He competed under Rizin, LFA, Eagle FC, and Bellator. He looks to shake off a tough six fight losing streak heading into this challenging co-main event opportunity. This will be his first MMA fight since June 2023. Zane has faced elite competition under the MMA ruleset, making Sanchez a potentially feasible task. He brings an all-or-nothing mentality to the cage. Twenty-six of his thirty bouts have not gone to the judges’ scorecards.
Prediction: Emmanuel Sanchez via Submission
Bantamweight Co-main Event
Miguel Sanson vs. James Dunn
The co-main event showcases a scrappy bantamweight title clash. The young and eye-catching talent, Miguel Sanson (7-2), looks to capture gold. The 25-year-old finds himself on the uptick recently, riding an impressive three fight win streak. Sanson comes from legitimate amateur pedigree, possessing an unbeaten record of 4-0. Since turning pro, the Wisconsin fighter has made a name for himself on the regional scene. He competed in LFA and most recently, in Anthony Pettis FC. He has faced serious up-and-comers throughout his four years as a pro. Sanson made his Anthony Pettis FC back in November and has seemingly shown progression in his finishing abilities. Flashback to March, the bantamweight provided a viral clip in his last fight against Chris Johnson. He unloaded a WWE-esque signature move, “The People’s Elbow,” on his downed opponent.
