Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins are a power couple, but they need proper booking

There have been multiple wrestling couples throughout the years, Macho Man and Elizabeth, Triple H and Stephanie, and Edge and Lita to name a few. However, there is one power couple in WWE today that has taken the wrestling world by storm. Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch are that power couple.

Seth and Becky have both had a wild run as of late, from that shot of Becky’s bloody nose to her winning the main event of WrestleMania. From Seth’s incredible gauntlet match to him slaying the beast a WrestleMania. A few months ago, they were WWE’s hottest superstars. Then in May, the two decided to go public with their relationship and it has been used on TV ever since.
I bring up how hot Becky and Seth were until lately, because they have really fizzled out. I blame that largely on WWE’s booking of their relationship. They have ran it into the ground in many ways, and it has not been natural. Wrestling couples over the years that have been presented on WWE TV, even in outlandish segments, have always felt natural.
The way WWE portray’s Seth and Becky is not at all natural, here is how I would fix it.
Firstly, I think WWE is being far too hands on with how they are portrayed on TV. Becky and Seth are two of the most charismatic superstars on the roster, but when WWE puts them together it just doesn’t work.
WWE needs to let their relationship play out on screen in a natural way as opposed to forcing it. If they booked them in scenarios, but let them just be. Then it would feel natural and it would let the viewers invest in them, as opposed to roll their eyes. Secondly, as the title of this article says, book them as a power couple. You have the two top champions in the company, yet they are not being booked that way. They should basically rule over Raw, but in a Babyface way of course. They almost feel like mid-carders.
Even as a couple, they could be booked in compelling stories. This storyline with Lacey and Baron is much of the reason they have fizzled out. With the Wild Card Rule, although they aren’t a couple, could you imagine a feud with Andrade and Zelina Vega? That would be straight fire (pun intended).
It comes down to one thing, WWE needs to focus on booking them both strong and if they want them to be an on-screen couple, let their chemistry speak for itself.
Becky and Seth have gone from winning major championships at WrestleMania, to being a poorly booked couple. If booked correctly, this power couple angle could benefit both of them, but as of right now it is harming both.
