Lightweight Main Event
Junior Maranhao vs. Artur Minev
The main event for Fury FC 106 showcases supremely talented lightweights Junior Maranhao (25-12) and Artur Minev (5-0) clashing for a scheduled three rounds. The 32-year-old Maranhao has been shuffling through various forms of combat as of recent. The Brazilian has won two straight boxing matches and one bare knuckle MMA bout over the past two years. His last regular MMA appearance was in June 2023. During that match, he scored a first round finish against the debuting Ryan O’Toole. His last loss came in Fury FC back in June 2022 when he lost to Luis Luna. Maranhao is a true veteran of the sport with his professional debut dating all the way back to 2010.
His opponent, Minev does not know what losing inside the cage feels like. The impressive rising prospect is undefeated as a pro and his time in the amateur circuit. Technically 8-0, Minev has a chance to keep his unblemished resume intact as he faces the battle-tested Brazilian. Minev has proven to be an absolute force in the cage. All five of his professional victories have come via stoppage. He rides a three fight first-round finish streak coming into this main event opportunity.
