Three possibilities for Mike Perry’s next BKFC fight

Read Time:2 Minute, 52 Second

The best-case scenario has already happened in Mike Perry’s career, and that is a testament to his hard work.

Two years ago, he departed from the UFC on a two-fight skid and was drowning in controversy due to his behavior outside of the cage. Today, Perry has built a beautiful life with his wife Latory, and two children. He is also the face of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). He recently re-signed with the promotion, earning himself a massive contract.

Recently, Perry expressed his desire to jump back into BKFC’s squared circle in an interview with Damon Martin from MMA Fighting. “I got this money on paperwork. I got this house I’m paying for. I got this family I’m paying for,” said Perry. “I got all these expensive things going on, so you know, I’m ready to fight, promote, talk some s***, and punch some people in their face.”

Read about three fights that “Platinum” could chase next:

World Champion: There’s A First Time For Everything

This is arguably the toughest fight Perry can take. However, it would establish him as something, unlike money, that can never go away: Being a world champion. He is currently the top-ranked middleweight contender in BKFC and has earned an opportunity to fight the newly crowned champion, David Mundell who is 7-1 in the promotion with five knockouts.

“Platinum” has already proved his worth as one of the most durable fighters that combat sports has ever seen. Could the scrappy veteran push past his peak if he puts his body on the line for gold? This is also the least risky fight in terms of earnings potential. If Perry were to come up short, he would still be a massive draw for two other types of fights below: Influencers and combat sports legends.

Influencer: Beat Up A YouTube Star

Social media personality Bryce Hall recently took celebrity boxing to another level by taking the gloves off and knocking out an undefeated BKFC fighter at BKFC 48 last month. While his opponent usually fights at a weight class thirty pounds lower, Hall still earned the respect of the world for his brave entry into the promotion.

Currently, Perry is scheduled to be the backup fighter for Logan Paul’s next boxing fight, should his opponent Dillon Danis pull out. His charisma and entertaining style could lure the Paul brothers into a bare-knuckle fight. Additionally, they have a significant weight advantage over Perry, which could convince them to take the risk.

A fight like this would help grow BKFC’s fan base to a younger market and can generate tons of revenue.

Put On Fireworks Against A High-Profile MMA Fighter

Perhaps Darren Till? Perry’s most recent fight sent shockwaves throughout the combat sports community. Despite being the smaller man, he broke the teeth and will of former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold. That is the biggest win on his resume, right above former Bellator title challenger and dynamic striker Michael Venom Page.

A fight against former UFC title challenger Darren Till would sell out another one of London’s arenas. Perry has had playful drama with him, and their press conference would create sound bites for ages. Pandemonium would erupt if this mega-fight were to happen.

Whose hand should “Platinum” attempt to break next with his head? Let us know in the comments below.
