Five fighters from Ontario, Canada UFC should be watching

Ontario has some hot MMA prospects that deserve a shot at fighting in the UFC.

1. Josh Hill

This 32-year-old bantamweight has a stellar pro record of 17-3-0. Hill fights out of House of Champions MMA and Para Bellum MMA in Stoney Creek, Ontario. His last fight at TKO 48 in May against Jesse Arnett (16-3-0) lasted two rounds. It ended due to referee stoppage. Hill has all the skills to show he belongs in the UFC.

2. Anthony Romero

“The Genius” is on a 13-fight win streak. Romero has gone undefeated in all his five pro fights with the KOTC organization. This 22-year-old lightweight is a lifelong martial artist and has the skills to prove it. Next up for him will be Troy Wittman (6-2-0) on September 21 at KOTC Showtime II in New York State. The Para Bellum/Niagara Top Team phenom will be a free agent after he finishes out this last fight on contract with KOTC. UFC eyes should be on him.

3. Jasmine Jasudavicius

This 30-year-old flyweight has yet to be beat. The Canadian currently sits atop the pound for pound rankings in New York. Jasudavicius is on a six-fight win streak. She recently headlined the main event at Cage Titans, September 7. The Para Bellum/Niagara Top Team fighter took home the unanimous decision win against Kylie O’Hearn. Jasudavicius is one woman we should see stepping into the UFC octagon soon.

4. Aaron Jeffrey

Jeffrey had a disappointing loss in July against Brendan Allen on Dana White’s Contender Series. Not one to rest on his laurels, he made an amazing return to the octagon. One month later, the 26-year-old middleweight beat Dennis Olson by TKO at Combat Zone 71 in New Hampshire. With a record of 7-2-0, Jeffery is a fighter to watch climb to the next level.

5. Scott Hudson

The 31-year-old welterweight is on a 3-fight win streak. “Handsome” Scott Hudson (10-5-1) has been fighting for the Ontario-based BTC organization since its inception. He took out Dawond Pickney (9-5-1) by guillotine choke in his last bout in June. Hudson is certainly on the UFC radar and is a true Canadian champion.
