Card Preview & Predictions for WWE/AAA/NXT Worlds Collide
Worlds Collide 2026 is shaping up to be a must-watch event. Below, we break down each matchup, provide our predictions, and highlight the key storylines ahead of the big night:
CM Punk, El Grande Americano & Rey Mysterio vs. Omos, Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh
Joey: This main event is way too stacked to have CM Punk on the losing end. But Dominik Mysterio desperately needs a win too. It’s been loss after loss for him, so I’m a bit torn. The teams are essentially 1-1 right now, and Punk may be the difference. Ending Worlds Collide on a high note feels predictable for WWE, but I’m going with the predictable pick here.
Mr. Iguana, La Parka, Adelicious & Mascarita Sagrada vs. Mini Abismo Negro, Brad Baylor, Ricky Smokes & Myka Lockwood (w/ Jackson Drake)
Joey: Not all the good guys can win here. That alone has me leaning toward the heels in this one. Myka Lockwood rarely gets featured in the ring on TV, so this is a chance to establish her in a major way on a major stage.
Dragon Lee vs. Jack Cartwheel
Joey: Dragon Lee should have singles gold around his waist already. I mean, what more can he do? He has the look, he’s over, he always puts on bangers, and he goes above and beyond with his presentation, even when the cameras aren’t live. Dragon can’t lose here, especially not to Jack Cartwheel. But this match will be a banger.
Las Tóxicas vs. Fatal Influence
Joey: This one should be interesting because both teams are heels. I didn’t expect this match, but I’m intrigued. WWE has already shown some cracks between Flammer and La Hiedra, so I’m picking Fatal Influence. I also can’t see WWE having its United States and Women’s Tag Team Champions lose on a stage like Worlds Collide.
#1 Contender’s Match for AAA World Cruiserweight Title Shot — Fatal 4-Way: Axiom vs. Mini Vikingo vs. Je’Von Evans vs. E.K. Prosper
Joey: I’d personally love to see Axiom win, but I don’t think you put Je’Von Evans in this match at this stage of his career just to have him lose. Especially when the winner gets a shot at Rey Fenix, who’s on the main roster. Je’Von feels like the clear pick, and this match should absolutely deliver.
AAA Reina de Reinas Championship: La Catalina (c) vs. Roxanne Perez
Joey: If you join us for our weekly watch alongs, you know I thought Roxanne Perez would win her Money in the Bank qualifying match. I just can’t see La Catalina dropping the title so soon after winning it. WWE clearly wants to put her over in a big way, and a win over Perez would do exactly that.
Lucha Brothers vs. Perros del Mal
Joey: As much as the Lucha Brothers should win, I don’t think WWE is ready to put them back together just yet. Penta is heading into his second Money in the Bank ladder match, and he’s already gone one on one with his brother. Meanwhile, Perros del Mal got their original theme back, and the crowd went nuts. This feels like a chance to put them over in a major way, so I’m going with Perros del Mal.
