Is the reign of Vince McMahon near the end?
Currently, Vince McMahon is not going through a pleasant time due to the multiple allegations against him and ongoing investigations. With new headlines continuously coming out, a question has to be asked… Is the reign of McMahon as WWE’s head honcho coming to an end?
Vince McMahon has been the leader of WWE, and the most important man in pro wrestling for a very long time. Stories about his unusual behavior are pretty well known by fans, a perfect example is his involvement with Jimmy Snuka’s case.
For many, Vince McMahon has felt invincible. Not everyday does someone beat the US government like he did during the steroids trial. This could very well have lead to him feeling untouchable or invincible.
It goes without saying, but the many allegations against Vince are not a good look. Especially in the today’s society where movements like #MeToo and #SpeakingOut had a huge impact. It seems McMahon’s strategy is to appear in public like he did on SmackDown to cut a promo, and attending UFC 276 in Las Vegas during the weekend of Money in the Bank.
It’s too early to tell what the consequences will be, but Vince McMahon’s image is tremendously hurt. If the WWE stock falls to a rate that could be considered damaging to the future of the company, there would be no other choice than for him to resign as CEO and booker of WWE.
Only time will tell…
