Chris Duncan punches ticket into the UFC with viral knockout on DWCS
Scotland’s Chris Duncan has punched his way into the UFC roster after knocking out Charlie Campbell in the first round during Week 2 of Dana White’s Contender Series.
The Sterling native made his second appearance on the show last night after falling short to Viacheslav Borshchev on season 5. Duncan was determined to redeem himself and give a true account of his skill-set, and boy did he deliver.
Chris Duncan lands a huge knockout over Charlie Campbell
Despite landing a knockout that had UFC President Dana White out of his chair, Duncan didn’t have it all his way after facing some early adversity from the get-go.

Campbell unintentionally eye-poked Duncan and piled on the pressure, landing heavy shots when both men exchanged. It seemed like the beginning of the end for the Scot, who urgently looked for a takedown to regain his composure but was met with several uppercuts from Campbell.
The over-eagerness of Campbell was met with a piston of a right hand which dropped him and resulted in the 27-year-old being left on the canvas unconscious after Duncan followed up with shots.
Post-fight Press Conference
At the post-fight press conference, Duncan revealed to the media how he felt when Campbell was piling on the pressure:
“None of the uppercuts were shockingly hard. He hit me with a good calf kick, and he hit me with a good knee. That’s what flustered me a little bit, and that’s why I went in for the shot, to try and slow it down a little bit.”
When asked about Viacheslav Borshchev, Duncan implied he would take the rematch with no hesitation:
“100%. I can beat that guy anywhere. I should have wrestled him a lot more, but, you know, it’s all hearsay, isn’t it? Hindsight’s twenty-twenty when it’s there. I wish him all the best. He’s had a great run, but if he wants to run it back, I doubt it, but if he wants to run it back, bring it on.”
Chirs Duncan has entered the UFC with a bang. Who would you like to see him face in his debut with the promotion?
