NBA Superstar pays homage to WWE’s D-Generation X
Anthony Edwards could potentially win over an entirely new fan base.
The rising NBA superstar hit the infamous D-Generation X crotch gesture with 2 minutes and 54 seconds to go in Game 3. Edwards celebrated his teammate Rudy Gobert sealing the game and their playoff series against the Phoenix Suns. After the game, “Ant-Man” was asked if he was a late 90s wrestling fan. He replied, “No, not at all.” Despite his lack of fandom, it was a cool gesture to see nonetheless.

D-Generation X was a popular professional wrestling stable formed in 1997. It featured Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Chyna, and others. I am sure all NBA & WWE fans who tuned into the game got a great kick out of Anthony Edwards doing that.
Edwards has taken the basketball world by storm. Not only his skills on the court… But also for his vibrant personality. He averaged 31 points, 8.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game in the Timberwolves Western Conference first-round series against the Phoenix Suns, who Minnesota swept 4-0. He’s emerging as one of the most exciting players in the league. For a young man who has won over the hearts of NBA fans everywhere, he may have just done the same with professional wrestling fans.
Did you catch Anthony telling the Suns to “SUCK IT”? Let us know what you thought.
