Card Preview & Predictions for NXT Showdown
NXT Showdown is shaping up to be a must-watch event. Below, we break down each matchup, provide our predictions, and highlight the key storylines ahead of the big night:

Tag Team Title for Title Championship Match: DarkState (c) vs. The Hardy Boyz (c)
Joey: The Hardys have been vocal about wanting one last run in WWE. While that door may seem closed, this match presents the perfect opportunity for them to make an impact and capture the NXT Tag Team Championships for the first time ever. There’s no tag team more iconic or capable of adding prestige to the titles’ lineage than The Hardys. So, I expect them to pull it off here.
Rags: DarkState is currently being built as a dominant faction in NXT. While fans will go crazy for The Hardys’ return, having that excitement crushed by DarkState pulling off the win would solidify their momentum and their place. I’m picking DarkState to win.

Women’s Survivor Series Elimination Match: Jacy Jayne, Sol Ruca, Jaida Parker & Lola Vice (Team NXT) vs. Kelani Jordan, Jessie McKay, Cassie Lee & Mara Sadé (Team TNA) w/ Jordynne as Special Guest Referee
Joey: Unlike the Men’s Survivor Series Elimination Match, this one doesn’t really have a story. With Bound For Glory happening the same week and Kelani Jordan’s title win coming last minute after Ash by Elegance retired from in-ring competition, it makes sense for her to build some momentum heading into the big pay-per-view. So, I’m going with Team TNA.
Rags: Team NXT has the stronger overall lineup, featuring several rising stars. Team TNA, on the other hand, feels a bit thrown together, especially with the inclusion of Mara Sadé. It would make sense for TNA to get the win here, as several of the women have been speculated for main roster call-ups. With Women’s WarGames coming up, they need to look strong heading into a possible showdown with the main roster.

Men’s Survivor Series Elimination Match: Ricky Saints, Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans & Myles Borne (Team NXT) vs. Mike Santana, Moose, Frankie Kazarian & Leon Slater (Team TNA) w/ Joe Hendry as Special Guest Referee
Joey: I think the story being told here is that TNA is trying to stop NXT from taking over their brand and titles. If that’s the case, Team NXT winning here makes sense. It moves things one step closer to the breaking point, which will likely happen at Bound For Glory when Mike Santana finally takes the belt off Trick Williams.
Rags: I’m going with Team TNA. If you look at the lineup, there are some egos in the mix. So it makes sense that conflict will likely lead them to their own downfall. You also have the TNA Champion on Team NXT, which is odd given Kelani Jordan is on Team TNA for the women. But who knows, maybe Trick Williams ends up being the reason they lose…

North American Championship: Ethan Page (c) vs. Mustafa Ali
Joey: Mustafa Ali finally gets the North American Championship opportunity he never received after leaving WWE in 2023. Unfortunately for him, he’s facing Ethan Page, who’s been on a hot run with the title. Something tells me his story with Chelsea Green and the Secret Service isn’t over just yet. It would be awesome to see Mustafa win, especially with his current presidential gimmick. However, this just doesn’t feel like the night for it.
Rags: I agree, I’m going with Ethan Page. He is more than ready for the main roster, so there’s no reason to halt his momentum now.
