Card Preview & Predictions for WWE Crown Jewel 2025

WWE Crown Jewel 2025 is shaping up to be a must-watch event. Below, we break down each matchup, provide our predictions, and highlight the key storylines ahead of the big night:

WWE Crown Jewel Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Seth Rollins (c)

Joey: These two were destined to meet again, despite Seth Rollins sitting at 0-3 against Cody Rhodes. The difference this time is that Rollins has The Vision behind him. I don’t see Cody walking out as a two-time Crown Jewel Champion. So, I’m rocking with Seth.

Rags: I think the 0–3 series record is an important detail, as is the reference to WrestleMania 40. Seth needs to build some momentum in this rivalry, and I believe The Vision will play a role in the match one way or another. Cody won the first-ever Crown Jewel Championship ring last year, so he really doesn’t need to win here. So I’m going to agree that Seth gets the win here.

WWE Women’s Crown Jewel Championship Match: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Stephanie Vaquer (c)

Joey: This is a matchup I didn’t expect when Crown Jewel was first announced. But, it does proves the next generation of the women’s division has arrived and is taking over. Tiffany Stratton’s run has lasted longer than expected, so there’s no reason for her to win here. It’s time to strap the rocket to Stephanie Vaquer from now until WrestleMania and build her as the next big thing. I think she gets it done.

Rags: I think many expected Stephanie Vaquer to be a fast riser and a future world champion. But, she reached that level faster than anyone anticipated. From the moment she arrived in NXT, she was pushed straight into the spotlight. As much as I want to pick Vaquer, I have a feeling it’s still “Tiffy Time.” Her reign has lasted longer than expected, but it feels like every time people thought the title was coming off her, WWE surprised us, further legitimizing her run. I don’t see it stopping at Crown Jewel.

John Cena vs. AJ Styles

Joey: This is one of the matches fans have wanted for Cena’s retirement run. The fact we’re finally getting it doesn’t even feel real. Part of that is because the build has been weak, and Cena only has so much time left. John Cena vs. AJ Styles should not only represent the end of Cena’s career, but also set the stage for Styles’s eventual retirement. Since Cena lost to Brock Lesnar, anything feels possible. But I’m going with Cena here. He needs the win as he builds toward his last few matches in WWE.

Rags: I agree with Joey. I’m just excited to watch two legends go at it. This will be their fifth encounter, with John Cena currently 1–3 in the series. So, I think he deserves a feel-good win at Crown Jewel.
