WWE LFG Season 3 Episode 6

WWE LFG Season 3: Episode 6 Recap

Read Time:5 Minute, 4 Second

WWE LFG returns for Season 3 on A&E, bringing fans another behind-the-scenes look at what it really takes to earn a WWE contract. With two seasons already in the books, this year raises the stakes and promises the most unique season yet.

Familiar faces are back to guide the next generation. Booker T and Bubba Ray will return as coaches, and both Natalya and Kevin Owens join the show as new additions to the panel. Season 1 was claimed by The Undertaker, and Michelle McCool took home the win in Season 2. But this time, everything is different.

There are no more points, no more teams, and no more fighting for an NXT contract. Each week, the legends provide guidance both in-ring and on the mic, shaping the superstars of tomorrow and helping mold the future of WWE one match at a time.

Here’s what went down this week:

Episode Notes

  • We are immediately introduced to two new competitors: the show’s first masked wrestler, Elio LeFleur, and Belgium’s Dorian Van Dux.
  • Natalya is assigned Bayley Humphrey vs. Carlee Bright, continuing the narrative that Humphrey is a true anomaly in the sport due to her unique combination of size, strength, and athleticism.
  • Booker T works with Elijah Holyfield and Malik Blade, who is new to LFG this season despite already having previous experience on NXT. The episode highlights how a move back to developmental is often viewed negatively by coaches, making this an important opportunity for Blade.
  • Bubba Ray is assigned Dorian Van Dux, while Kevin Owens works with Elio LeFleur.
  • We got one of the best matches in LFG history as Elio LeFleau and Dorian Van Dux delivered a standout performance. After the match, Shawn Michaels was so impressed that he immediately called up Elio to NXT, marking the second LFG call-up of the season.

The Matches on Episode 6

WWE LFG Match Rating (1–5 Scale)
1️⃣ 😐 Meh / Okay – Not much happened, filler match
2️⃣ 🙂 Decent – Solid wrestling, nothing special
3️⃣ 🔥 Good / Fun – Crowd got into it, entertaining spots
4️⃣ 💥 Great / Must-See – High energy, memorable moments
5️⃣ 🤯 Epic / Instant Classic – Mind-blowing, match of the season candidate

Bayley Humphrey vs. Carlee Bright

  • Results: Bayley Humphrey def. Carlee Bright
  • Rating: 🔥

This was a solid match that played to both competitors’ strengths. Bayley Humphrey looked as dominant and powerful as ever. Carlee Bright embodied the perfect babyface, refusing to back down and showing plenty of resilience throughout the contest.

In the end, Bright was no match for Humphrey’s strength and aggression. But, both women had the opportunity to showcase their athleticism, in-ring skills, and character work. Given what Carlee Bright has shown on LFG so far, her eventual release comes as a surprise. She consistently displays plenty of potential and has all the tools to succeed.

After the match, Natalya praised both competitors and said there were many things to like about the performance. Matt Bloom’s main critique was that Carlee could have sold more throughout the match, and emphasizing that sometimes less is more for Bayley. Despite that feedback, he was proud of what both women accomplished in the ring.

Elijah Holyfield vs. Malik Blade

  • Results: Elijah Holyfield def. Malik Blade
  • Rating: 🙂

This was a good match that allowed both competitors to shine. Elijah Holyfield looked as ruthless and explosive as ever, bringing an intensity that immediately put Malik Blake on the defensive.

Blake proved to be the perfect opponent for Holyfield. His experience allowed him to absorb the punishment while still creating enough offense and resistance to make things interesting. He never felt overwhelmed, forcing Holyfield to work for the victory.

Ultimately, Holyfield landed his signature uppercut to secure the win. While the finishing blow didn’t connect quite as cleanly as we’ve seen in previous outings, it still got the job done and capped off another impressive performance from one of LFG’s most promising prospects.

Elio LeFleur vs. Mike Derudder

  • Results: Elio LeFleur def. Mike Derudder
  • Rating: 🤯

This match was a perfect example of why LFG could benefit from bringing in more experienced independent wrestlers who are already polished and ready to perform at a high level. From the opening bell, it was clear that both men were operating on a different level. They looked comfortable, confident, and completely in control of who they are as performers.

The chemistry between them was outstanding. The match had a little bit of everything: high-flying offense, power moves, hard-hitting exchanges, a clear heel-versus-babyface dynamic, and the kind of ring awareness that only comes with experience.

Rather than feeling like a developmental match, this felt like something you could comfortably place on NXT television tomorrow.

In fact, this may have been the best match in LFG history, and it’s hard to think of a close second. The crowd was fully invested from start to finish, while Bubba Ray and Kevin Owens couldn’t hide how much they were enjoying the action.

Shawn Michaels was equally impressed, ultimately rewarding Elio LeFleur with an immediate call-up to NXT following the performance.
