The New Orleans Saints will be without wide receiver Brock Rechsteiner for the first six games of the 2026 NFL season after the NFL handed down a suspension, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Rechsteiner is still eligible to participate in training camp and preseason games before the suspension officially begins following the league’s final roster cuts to 53 players.

The timing allows Rechsteiner to continue practicing with the team throughout the summer before missing the first six games of the regular season.
The NFL has not released additional details regarding the suspension.
The six-game ban complicates Rechsteiner’s path to making the Saints’ initial 53-man roster. He’ll need to impress the coaching staff during training camp despite knowing he won’t be available for the opening six weeks of the season.
At the same time, his absence creates an opportunity for other Saints receivers to earn early-season snaps.
If Rechsteiner, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner, earns a spot on New Orleans’ initial 53-man roster, he’ll be eligible to return after serving the six-game suspension, assuming he satisfies all NFL reinstatement requirements.
