Brock Lesnar Officially Announces Retirement Following SummerSlam
Brock Lesnar has officially called it a day on one of the most decorated careers in professional wrestling.
Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show just days after his brutal Hell in a Cell defeat to Oba Femi at SummerSlam, Lesnar confirmed that he is officially retiring from professional wrestling, putting an end to weeks of speculation surrounding his future.
Brock Lesnar Retires
Following Saturday’s loss, many believed The Beast Incarnate had wrestled his final match after embracing Femi in an emotional post-match moment that felt like a symbolic passing of the torch. WWE further fueled those rumors with tribute packages and farewell messaging on Raw, but Lesnar has now removed any remaining doubt by confirming the decision himself.
Lesnar’s retirement follows a memorable rivalry with Oba Femi that helped establish the former NXT standout as one of WWE’s premier stars. Their trilogy culminated at SummerSlam, where Femi defeated Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell in what will now go down as the final match of Lesnar’s legendary career.

Few performers have left a mark on the wrestling industry quite like Lesnar. A multi-time WWE Champion, former UFC Heavyweight Champion, NCAA Division I Heavyweight Wrestling Champion, Royal Rumble winner, Money in the Bank winner, and the man who ended The Undertaker’s historic WrestleMania undefeated streak, Lesnar spent more than two decades redefining what it meant to be an attraction in professional wrestling.
While retirement announcements in wrestling have often proven temporary, Lesnar’s comments on The Pat McAfee Show leave little room for interpretation. If this truly is the end, fans have now witnessed the final chapter of one of the most dominant careers the business has ever seen.
