Cejudo vs. Moraes set for vacant bantamweight title fight at UFC 238

Henry Cejudo will get his chance at becoming a double champion this summer.

The UFC bantamweight belt was vacated by TJ Dillashaw following his recent failed USADA drug test. Because of this, Cejudo is set to take on #1 bantamweight contender Marlon Moraes at UFC 238 on June 8. The 125-pound champ is coming off a dominant knockout win against former bantamweight champion, Dillashaw in the first round.

Moraes is a former WSOF champion and has won four consecutive fights against top bantamweight contenders in John Dodson, Aljamain Sterling, Jimmie Rivera, and most recently, Raphael Assuncao.

UFC 238 takes place at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The event also features a women’s flyweight title bout between UFC champion Valentina Shevchenko and veteran challenger Jessica Eye.

Take a look at the current line up for UFC 238:

  • Henry Cejudo vs Marlon Moraes
  • Valentina Shevchenko vs Jessica Eye
  • Tatiana Suarez vs Nina Ansaroff
  • Tai Tuivasa vs Blagoy Ivanov
  • Felice Herrig vs Xiaonan Yan
  • Katlyn Chookagian vs Joanne Calderwood
