Don’t Sleep on Mike Malott vs. Charles Radtke
UFC 315 delivers a championship double-header this Saturday, May 10, at the Centre Bell in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. In the main event, reigning welterweight champion Belal Muhammad defends his title against dangerous Australian finisher Jack Della Maddalena. In the co-main, women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko faces rising contender Manon Fiorot in a high-stakes clash.
But don’t overlook the explosive welterweight showdown on the prelims. Hometown favorite Mike Malott takes on the outspoken and unpredictable Charles Radtke in a featured three-round bout.
A Ferocious Welterweight Scrap
The energy inside Centre Bell will be electric. Canada’s Mike Malott (11-2-1) will test his mettle against the always-game American Charles Radtke (10-4-0).
Malott, 33, aims to keep his momentum after earning an impressive win over veteran Trevin Giles in November 2024. Known for his legitimate finishing ability, Malott has secured three stoppages in four UFC victories. With over half of his professional wins coming by submission, he’s proven to be a dangerous grappler. Now riding a 6-1 stretch over his last seven fights, the Canadian standout enters this featured prelim with both confidence and pressure against a dangerous opponent.
Radtke, 34, finds himself in a similar position. He’s coming fresh off a highlight-reel first-round knockout of Matthew Semelsberger in November 2024. It’s a performance that earned him a Performance of the Night bonus. Radtke brings serious finishing power, with seven of his ten professional wins coming by stoppage. Since joining the UFC in September 2023, he’s amassed an impressive 3-1 record and built a reputation for his all-action, fan-friendly style.
This high-stakes welterweight clash promises fireworks, as both men look to break into the next tier of the division. With their fan-friendly styles and finishing instincts, Malott and Radtke are sure to get the crowd on their feet in what could easily earn Fight of the Night honors. At similar points in their careers, both fighters enter this matchup hungry and dangerous—each stepping in with the intent to finish.
