Don’t Sleep on These 2 Fights at UFC London
UFC Fight Night 270, also known as UFC London, is live from the 02 Arena in London, England on Saturday, March 21. The event is headlined by a featherweight contenders bout between Movsar Evloev and Lerone Murphy.
Everyone has probably heard enough about the main event. So today, we’re taking a look at two fights you should keep an eye on that might get overlooked by some of the more high-profile matchups:
Heavyweights Clash
The UFC heavyweight division has some prospects that people should be keeping an eye on. Two will fight this Saturday when Mario Pinto takes on Felipe Franco, in what’s sure to have fans on the edge of their seat with every thrown strike.
Mario Pinto (11-0)
The undefeated Mario Pinto has been on a roll since coming to the UFC in 2024. He earned his contract on Dana White’s Contender Series with a first-round knockout. Since then, he’s finished Austen Lane and Jhonata Diniz in his first two official UFC bouts.
This power isn’t just a recent development, either. Of his 11 wins, eight have come by finish. Mario has seven knockouts and one submission on his resume, proving that he has heavy hands. But if the fight goes to the ground, he’s also more than capable of holding his own.
Felipe Franco (10-1)
Standing across from Mario is Felipe Franco, who is making his promotional debut. But, this isn’t the first time UFC fans have laid eyes on Felipe. Back in September of 2025, Felipe Franco competed on Dana White’s Contender Series. However, it’s on that event where he suffered his first defeat.
Since then, Felipe earned two first-round finishes on the regional scene with one TKO and one submission. But, don’t let that loss fool you, as Franco has never seen a judges score card in all of his 11 bouts. The exciting Brazilian has six wins by knockout and four wins by submission, making him very fan-friendly.
With these two heavyweights in the cage this Saturday, don’t blink. We’re in for some fireworks inside the octagon and there’s a high chance someone goes to sleep!
Featherweight Finishers
Heading into UFC London, you may have heard “The Pink Panther” being talked about. And no, it’s not the movie. It’s the nickname of Kurtis Campbell who makes his promotional debut against the three-year UFC veteran, Danny Silva.
Kurtis Campbell (8-0)
Kurtis Campbell made some headlines this week, as he’s the first UFC fighter to have custom shorts in his debut matchup. It was revealed that the England native will of course be wearing pink shorts.
While that was a topic of conversation for some, the color of the shorts doesn’t matter. It’s about how you fight. And for Campbell, he seems to be doing just fine. Walking in undefeated, Kurtis got his contract by way of DWCS in September of 2025, where he picked up a first-round TKO win.
Since then, Campbell has been waiting for his UFC debut and this weekend, it finally arrives. Kurtis is a finisher, with five of his wins coming by way of knockout and one coming via submission. Though he has went to a winning decision twice, he is currently on a three-fight finish streak.
Danny Silva (10-2)
Arguably Danny Silva is Campbell’s toughest opponent yet. While Kurtis carries “The Pink Panther” nickname, Danny goes by “Puma,” so these two jungle cats are ready for a scrap.
Danny walks in with four UFC bouts under his belt. While it may not seem like a lot, he is more equipped to deal with that full crowd environment, unlike his opponent making his debut.
Silva also knows how to find a finish, but can drag the fight into deep waters if need be. In his 10 wins five came by knockout, with the other five coming by submission. Interestingly enough, Danny has yet to get a finish win under the UFC banner.
But, he’s surely looking to get that Saturday night and bounce back after suffering his first defeat in the UFC last time out against Kevin Vallejos. Who by the way, just finished Josh Emmett in one round this past weekend.
Danny Silva has something to prove against the newcomer this weekend, and a statement win over the undefeated prospect could put his name right back in the mix as a top prospect. It’s Puma vs. Panther at UFC London, and you won’t want to miss it!
