Expect Violence, Excitement & Chaos from Gage Gill at Unified MMA 57
Gage Gill recently caught up with Marcos Antelo ahead of his highly anticipated title fight at Unified MMA 57. Set to take place on June 14th in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, this bout has generated significant buzz. Gage prepares to face off against his toughest test to date, another undefeated prospect in the hometown boy, Cody Chovancek.
Gage Gill talks…
- Balancing Fun & Staying Focused
- Training with TUF 31 Lightweight Winner Kurt Holobaugh
- The Evolution of His Fight Style
- His Opponent Cody Chovancek
- Fighting In Enemy Territory Again
- Looking For The Finish on Fight Night
Going 5-2 as an amateur, something eventually clicked after turning pro. Gage has been on a finishing spree since 2021, submitted and knocking guys out cold. It’s a change that he says is likely just coincidental… Whether that’s true or not, Gage has found the secret sauce, showcasing the blending of his striking and grappling seamlessly. Today, he is a much more versatile and unpredictable fighter. One that certainly deserves all your attention in this next phase of his career.
Currently riding a remarkable 9-fight win streak, Gage’s dominance in the cage is evident. Notably, all six of his professional wins have come via first-round finishes. Even though he knows how to have fun outiside of the cage, Gage understands needing to turn the party switch off when it’s time to get down to business.
With a win on Friday night, it could certainly open the doors to brighter lights. Now that Contender Series is right around the corner, the winner could be a shoe-in to fight in front of Dana White this summer. Thankfully, Gage has guys like Kurt Holobaugh in his corner, guiding the way. Exposing himself to fighting in challenging environments while on the regional scene, Gage Gill has surely prepared himself well for what’s to come following Unified MMA 57. The event will stream live on UFC Fight Pass, starting at 6:30pm MT, 8:30PM ET. This is a card you do not want to miss.
