Five WWE Superstars that should be drafted to SmackDown

Read Time:2 Minute, 26 Second

Two weeks ago, Dave Meltzer reported on the WON that WWE was planning a draft to shake things up for the upcoming debut of SmackDown on FOX.

WWE has confirmed this report and a draft will take place on October 11 and 14.

This draft represents an opportunity to wrestlers that could use a change of brand and be represented with new storylines and opponents.

Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley’s second run with WWE has been underwhelming to say the least. His run with Lio Rush as his manager was an interesting idea that was botched because of creative and other issues.

Lashley moving to SmackDown would be perfect for him and would be a breath of fresh air. He could be involved in feuds with wrestlers like Orton, Nakamura, etc.

The Authors of Pain

Akam and Rezar’s main event run was botched from the beginning when creative decided to stop using Paul Ellering as the manager of this tag team. Things went downhill for them with their run alongside Drake Maverick as their manager.

A move to SmackDown would allow for them to get TV time and would also help the SmackDown tag team division that feels like an afterthought nowadays.

Brock Lesnar

The former WWE and UFC champion has been mostly involved in feuds with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins forever now. Many people are tired of this booking. Lesnar’s runs as Universal Champion has also been underwhelming because of his limited schedule and feuds his involved in.

A move to SmackDown would allow for him to have new and interesting feuds for him to do and would also help SmackDown establish itself in equal terms to Raw.

Asuka

The booking of Asuka on the main roster has been terrible in almost every way. In her latest run, it appeared she and Kairi Sane were destined to win the Women’s Tag Team Championships and help those belts be relevant. But things changed and now they are on limbo with nothing to do.

Separating Asuka and Kairi would be good for them so they can become the top single stars they could be. Asuka going to Raw would allow for interesting match ups with any of the women on the show.

Aleister Black

Aleister Black’s main roster run is underwhelming, he appears on TV very sporadically and very similar to other wrestlers mentioned, he appears to be in limbo with creative having nothing for him. Except those promo packages that only lead to a match against Cesaro of course.

A move to Raw could be helpful for him specially with Paul Heyman being part of creative. It could finally see him being part of a feud.
