Johnny Muñoz steps in to replace Ray Borg on short notice
Johnny“Kid Kvenbo” Muñoz (10-0) will be stepping in on short notice to replace Ray Borg at UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Shahbazyan tomorrow night, August 1, at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
The reason for Borg’s withdrawal has not yet been announced. Muñoz will be fighting Nathan “Mayhem” Maness (11-1) in a featherweight bout. Each fighter will be making their UFC debut.

“Kid Kvenbo” has a perfect MMA record throughout his amateur and pro career. The 27-year-old has spent his entire career fighting for the KOTC promotion. 6 of Muñoz’s wins have come by submission. Mayness only has one loss in his pro career, and was able to bounce back from that setback with an early knockout. The 29-year-old has fought for many different promotions throughout his career including Warrior FC, Colosseum Combat and Hardrock MMA. Both will look to make the case that they belong in the UFC.
