With Covid-19 knocking almost all major sporting events, UFC 249 is currently left standing. As Khama Worthy prepares for his sophomore Octagon appearance, he is approaching things with an “act as if” it’s happening mentality.

“The Deathstar” is scheduled to face the undefeated Ottman Azaitar at the event on April 11. UFC 249 will no longer take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY due to the global pandemic, but the organization is currently seeking a new location.

On Wednesday, Worthy joined The Scrap to discuss how the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted him as a fighter and a gym owner, finally getting a contract to fight after his successful Octagon debut over the summer, how he is approaching things with what’s happening around the world, how he sees the potential matchup with Azaitar playing out, the hilarious reason why he believes Tony Ferguson will defeat Khabib Nurmagomedov in the UFC 249 main event, and more.

Check out the full interview with Khama Worthy ahead of his scheduled fight with Ottman Azaitar at UFC 249 in the video below.
