Card Preview & Predictions for Halloween Havoc

NXT Championship: Ricky Saints (c) vs. Trick Williams

With Ricky Saints only recently winning the belt, I don’t see any logic in taking it off him while he’s red-hot. At this point, Trick Williams feels destined for the main roster — and reuniting him with Melo makes perfect sense.

Prediction: Ricky Saints

NXT Women’s Championship: Jacy Jayne (c) vs. Tatum Paxley

Jacy Jayne is on the run of a lifetime, and it doesn’t look like it’s ending anytime soon. With a new member added to Fatal Attraction and no clear challenger ready to take the title, she’s likely to retain. Still, it would be interesting to see the belt put on Tatum Paxley.

She’s worked incredibly hard, and her character development has been second to none on WWE NXT. She deserves to be rewarded for that. Plus, with Izzi Dame waiting in the wings to eventually turn on her “friend,” the storytelling potential is huge.

It’s a tough call, but I’m going with the upset and picking Tatum.

Prediction: Tatum Paxley

NXT Tag Team Championships: The Hardys vs. DarkState

Taking the belts off The Hardys doesn’t make much sense. But, something tells me their win was a one-off moment meant to give them the titles in time for their match with Team 3D at Bound for Glory.

DarkState has them outnumbered, and they need something to push them to that next level they haven’t quite reached yet. I expect the new DarkState members to capture the titles.

Prediction: DarkState

Women’s North American Championship: Zaria (c) vs. Blake Monroe

While Blake Monroe should be the one to eventually dethrone Jacy Jayne, she now finds herself competing for the North American Championship against someone who isn’t even the champion, but defending on her behalf.

With Sol Ruca injured, Zaria stepped up. It would be interesting to see Zaria continue defending the belt until Sol returns, setting up a future clash between them. However, with Sol’s return timeline uncertain, it feels like the perfect time to strap the rocket to Blake Monroe and crown her the new North American Women’s Champion.

Prediction: Blake Monroe

North American Championship: Ethan Page (c) vs. El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.

If Shawn Michaels is smart, that belt shouldn’t come off Ethan Page until it’s time for him to move up to the main roster.

Ethan has been putting in great work throughout both of his title runs, delivering strong segments and matches alongside Chelsea Green, and proving to be an absolute steal for the company since crossing over. It’s “All Ego” for me, baby!

Prediction: Ethan Page

Je’Von Evans & Leon Slater vs. Mr. Iguana & La Parka

It doesn’t matter who wins this one. The fans are the real winners because this match is going to be entertaining as hell. While I’d love to see Mr. Iguana and La Parka take it, Leon Slater and Je’Von Evans have been on fire together and are always a blast to watch.

With the way their match at Bound For Glory ended, I wouldn’t be surprised if they won, got their revenge on DarkState, and eventually dethroned The Hardys. Wait… that’s actually not a bad idea. Maybe Matt and Jeff do retain after all…

Prediction: Je’Von Evans & Leon Slater
