Top of the Class 2022: Haris Talundzic has that ‘it’ factor most welterweights lack

Read Time:3 Minute, 53 Second

Being undefeated is a privilege, but one that doesn’t come without hard work and complete dedication. At just 26 years old, Haris Talundzic has devoted himself to the fight game for over a decade. Today, he’s a well-rounded mixed martial artist on the verge of that next level.

Training out of Factory X, Haris has been able to develop a solid ground game, coupled with the cardio to dominate every round. His self-belief is strong, and his results speak for themselves. So even if you don’t respect it or see it yet, Haris is keen on ensuring you’ll soon have no choice.

All of Haris’ hard work continues to pay off as he looks to go 6-0 on Sept. 9th when he headlines his first LFA card. Make sure you watch closely though, because it could very well be his last time fighting outside of the big leagues.

There may be plenty of welterweights to choose from on the regional scene. But Haris Talundzic is the standout…

Why was Haris Talundzic selected for our Top of the Class?

“The Bosnian Silverback” is a smart, skilled fighter with a great camp behind him. He has never fought anyone with a losing record and is one who takes the tough fights most don’t. There is no doubt that Haris has a bright future ahead of him, and has all the makings of becoming a future welterweight star…

Not only will Talundzic dominate you to a decision, he can strangle you if and when it gets to the ground. He has two rear naked choke finishes on his record, and an extensive amateur career that’s prepared him well to one day get into the UFC, and stay. Haris is currently on a 13-fight win streak, and likely only a fight away from being able to represent Bosnia & Herzegovina under brighter lights.

It may be all work and no play for Talundzic, but you better believe that no one is working harder than him. He’s confident, but not arrogant. Calculated, but blunt. The best part though? Well, let’s just say he lets his skill do the majority of talking.

Talundzic is getting sharpened every day by his peers in a gym full of talent. Once he gets to the big leagues, he’ll without a doubt be more prepared than most making their debut. When you surround yourself by greatness, you either rise to the occasion or you stray behind the pack.

At this point, there’s no need to tell you which one Haris chose.

F*ck Being Humble

Haris Talundzic will have his third main event since making his debut as an 18 year old fresh out of getting expelled from high school. LFA 141 takes place in Vail, Colorado and will see the Bosnian take on his most experienced opposition to date.

“I am sure that this will be my most dominant and impressive performance yet,” said Talundzic on an Instagram post. “And also my last time fighting outside of the UFC.”

When you’re consistently winning, there isn’t a damn thing one can say to you. They can either join the hype train or hate on the sidelines. Either way, know the hype is very real for Talundzic. If you take a look back at his fights, you can easily see his skill progression since moving to Colorado. Don’t let the confidence fool you though, Haris is very well aware of his opponent’s strengths. But even that doesn’t phase him…

“[Chris] Brown, although 8-4, is a very dangerous and very game opponent. Training out of one of the top gyms in the world in JacksonWink MMA; he has never been finished, and only ever lost very close decisions. He is not a man I take lightly nor overlook. I have massive respect for this dog and ultimately plan to bring him a fight on Sept 9th. Not a sports competition, but a dog fight.”

As many fight fans are aware of by now, there’s usually mutual respect involved in MMA. But there is also reality, and Haris knows that although Brown has never lost a fight one-sidedly, he knows that come fight night there will only be one side winning this fight. His side.

Make sure you tune into UFC Fight Pass on Friday, September 9th to catch LFA 141 live from the Dobson Arena. Haris will look to prove that he’s big-league ready with a win on the biggest regional platform today…

Congratulations to Haris Talundzic on being selected for our 2022 Top of the Class List!
