TUW 16 Results: The Season 3 Finale
The seventh and final round of The Ultimate Writer Season 3 has officially come to a close.
If you didn’t already know, The Ultimate Writer is a competition that features 16 of the best combat sports writers around the world in a competition where article views matter. Winners this season are determined weekly and for this round specifically, total views got you the win in Week 1 and your highest article view count will secure the title of The Ultimate Writer.
This seventh card showcased the participants in the running for TUW. They were allowed to select a partner who would be able to add to their overall view count. The catch… If this “partner” outscored them, they would take their spot in the finale.
Katie Vega (214 Views) held her spot after a close fight against Ryan Truland (205 Views). This season marked her second appearance in the finale after winning the competition last season. Juan Reneo (109 Views) took out Dylan Fritts (81 Views) to keep his spot secure. He makes his first appearance in a TUW Finale. Another first timer is Cole Henry (183 Views), who beat his partner Austin Luff (82 Views) to keep his slot safe.
Lastly, Kevin Varghese (410 Views) chose Connor Rogowsky (545 Views) as his partner. Unfortunately for him, Connor outscored him and took his spot in the bracket. Connor now has a shot to become The Ultimate Writer after being in the finale every season thus far…
Finale: Katie Vega vs. Juan Reneo vs. Cole Henry vs. Connor Rogowsky
It’s an all-Veteran finale, baby! For Week 2, the winners of last week took the entire total into the final week of TUW. Now their highest viewed article, added up with their Week 1 total, will determine our winner this season.
Below is how everything played out:
- Katie Vega (579 Total Views)
- Juan Reneo (240 Total Views)
- Cole Henry (478 Total Views)
- Connor Rogowsky (1,092 Total Views)
After a massive lead in Week 1, it was going to be almost impossible to take out Connor. Katie tried, but came up short. After going through three season finales, Rags finally gets the job done and we’re so excited for him! Though he is a Co-Owner of The Scrap, he was never known for his written pieces and was more behind-the-scenes. He’s been really coming into his own, working tirelessly on creative articles that our readers love.
The Ultimate Writer Season 3 Winner: Connor Rogowsky
The Veterans absolutely demolished the Newbies this season. Overall, it was a fun season and one where The Scrap was able to find amazing additions to the staff.
We will be recruiting for The Ultimate Writer Season 4 soon. Be on the lookout…
