Read Time:3 Minute, 0 Second

TUW is a competition for The Scrap’s Content Writers and features 14 of the best MMA and pro wrestling writers around the world in a competition of article views. The first round of the inaugural season began May 1st and the winners this season will be determined monthly when highest article views go head-to-head to determine The Ultimate Writer.

The second-round matchups feature pivotal head-to-head wars that could the underdogs rise to the occasion again. Below are the results of the second round of TUW.

Austin Luff (31 Views) def. Tyreef Cash (8 Views) via unanimous decision.

Austin takes home the victory for Team Joel in a close main event against Tyreef from Team Rags. Austin manages to fight his way into the semi-finals and join his other team member Jordan, and team captain Joel. Will Canada have The Ultimate Writer this season? We’re so close to the end, we will definitely know soon enough.

Connor Rogowksky (1,611 Views) def. Matt Puppich (17 Views) via submission in round 1.

The team captain shows out with his best performance yet (joining the 1,000 club at The Scrap), winning against Team Joel’s Matt Puppich in the co-main event. Rags will hope to carry momentum into the semi-final round as competition will only continue to get stiffer. Rags is also the lone survivor from his team advancing to the semi-finals.

Jordan Ellis (806 Views) def. Kevin Mahoney (21 Views) via TKO in round 1.

This contest kicks off the quarterfinal round of The Ultimate Writer, and with a bang! Jordan takes home the upset win for Team Joel as he eliminates top contender, Kevin Mahoney, from Team Rags. Jordan comes up with a huge performance when it counts to advance to the semi-final round. Can he win the entire competition? He’s definitely the dark horse to watch.

Brandon Sibcy (47 Views) def. Dreux Stamford (6 Views) via unanimous decision.

Although both men were previously eliminated, Brandon takes the win here for Team Joel over teammate, Dreux Stamford, who is still clinging to views from previously written articles. Tisk Tisk.

Hiram Alvarado (86 Views) def. Lee Brown (29 Views) via unanimous decision.

Hiram returns from a layoff to be a last-minute replacement. He gets the win over Lee to kick off the card and redeem himself from the biggest upset this season. Although both men were previously eliminated, this battle for rankings featured two teammates on Team Rags in the Ultimate Writer.
